Outreach

Bounce Café

This runs on the first Saturday of every month and selected school holidays. Using the large hall to house a bouncy castle and café seating, it aims to provide a suitable and safe provision for young families in the town centre. Bounce Café continues to be popular and attracts a regular number of guests. 

Crafty Café

Following a request for a craft group from one of the Bounce Café visitors, Crafty Café was launched in March 2022 and has very quickly grown into a very popular community activity with a strong Facebook presence and membership. This runs every Monday morning throughout the year. Various crafts are also used to make goods to sell at our Christmas Bazaar. 

Community Café

These initiatives enable the fellowship to connect with the community, sharing the love of Christ and promoting a sense of belonging to the family of God. We hope to host further cafes in the future, to bring the people of Braintree together, form friendships and meet the community’s needs.

Braintree Nursing Home

From relationships built with the home through a resident church member, we are invited to offer spiritual support, fellowship and care.

Braintree Churches Together

Braintree Baptist Church also works ecumenically with other churches within the town, in various ways throughout the year.

Braintree Baptist Church Evangelism Team

To be about the task of evangelism is to announce the Good News of Jesus through word and deed.

The Evangelism Team is a wonderful opportunity. It can be a joy to encourage people to become stronger, vibrant witnesses to the love of God made known in Jesus Christ. But what does an Evangelism Team do?

Evangelism Team Job description:

  • Become an ambassador of Christ, every day
    Share the good news of Jesus Christ during one-to-one conversations in daily life Invite family, friends and acquaintances to learn more about God’s love
     Invite people to join your congregation for worship, study, fellowship, and service Witness to Jesus by living a compassionate, gracious and loving life
     Welcome guests who come to church activities
     Encourage each other to grow in faith

  • Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

We are meeting once at church on the 3rd Saturday of every month. All are welcome to join us. God bless you all!
