Pastor
Rev. Ayi Samson Ake
Pastor Ayi Samson Ake (Known as Samson) is originally from the Ivory Coast (West Africa) and has been living in the UK for over 20 years ago. He sees himself as part of the “reverse missionary” process, where over 100 years ago God sent missionaries from Western countries bringing Christianity to many countries including West Africa, but now God is sending missionaries in reverse back to the UK. It is in the UK that Samson felt that God was calling him to serve the Lord.
Samson is married to Rev. Ellie Ake, a Baptist Minister and they have a blended family of 6 children. Samson is an accredited Baptist Minister trained at Northern Baptist College (Manchester), He has been involved in ministry pastoring Baptist churches in the North West, the East Midlands and the West Midlands.
His heart is to love God with a passion, equip Christians to follow Jesus and empower the church to reach out to the community around the church.

Church Secretary
Barry Rix
Braintree Baptist Church has been my spiritual home for ten years, and I have been in leadership for eight of those ten.
I am blessed to be in my 46th year of marriage and have two grown up children who support Colchester United. My interests include a lifelong interest in Model Railways, Science Fiction, and retirement from running my own business.
God is good, and to be in a position to serve the church family and our local community is a great privilege.
'Just Jesus, One Gospel - One Saviour - One Hope.

Deacon
Caroline Luetchford
My name is Caroline and my husband and I have been Church members since 1999. I first became a Christian in 1994. My brother died in 1987 from cancer at the age of 26. On the day he died, I visited him in the hospice and he was so calm when I spoke to the Chaplain at the hospice he told me it was because he had made peace with God.
From that time I wanted that peace. In 1994 we went to a Christian Family Camp and one of the first verses I heard was from Ecclesiastes Verse 3 chapters v 1-8. A time for everything. That verse started my journey with my Lord. I was baptised the next year at Family Camp.
